71 Couples were selected in the Swayamvaram.
On 12.09.2013 counseling session was organized with Social Activists, Physicans, Psycologists, Psychiatrists, and Lawyers when the parents/Guardians of the selected couples were present. Doubtson the Children to be born between differently abled and normal persons and amongst differently abled and the legal problems raised by the selected couples, were cleared apart from other required
advice/Guidance with each group i.e. counseling with doctor, Psychologist etc.
Marriage for 71 couples were solemnized on 30th October, 2013 by Tmt. B. Valarmathi, Hon. Minister for Social Welfare in presence of Thiru. V.K. Jayakodi, IAS, State Commissioner for the Differently abled, Trustees of Shree Geeta Bhavan trust and members of the T.N. Handicapped Federation, Parents/Guardians of the couples and also other prominent personalities, were parent after the marriages act. Necessary notices were given to register marriages under special marriages act, for the people of other religions, as per law to register their marriages.
